About Ronald S. Marks

Since graduating from UCLA School of Law in 1970 near the top of his class, Ronald Marks has had a diverse law career and practice. He has been a Deputy Attorney General for the State of California representing the State in criminal appellate matters, advising and representing State licensing agencies, and advising and representing State employers in personnel matters. After leaving the Attorney General's Office, he taught legal research and writing and trial advocacy at the UCLA School of Law, was a panel attorney on the L.A. County Juvenile Dependency Panel, an administrative law judge for the California State Personnel Board, a member of the L.A. city task force on hearing procedures for the Department of Animal Regulation, an assistant instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), and a frequent lecturer to pharmacists and physician organizations.

During his career, Mr. Marks has represented numerous physicians, pharmacists, nurses, optometrists and other professionals in licensing and litigation matters, including petitions for writs of mandate in superior court and appeals in the court of appeal, numerous University of California employees in employment litigation with UC, public employees in city, county and state employment disputes, businesses and individuals in Medi-Cal audits, medical malpractice litigation, both plaintiff and defense, business disputes, disability disputes, personal injury litigation, and other civil disputes.
